This week we were put into groups depending on what we wanted to do (either charcoal on a phone book or time-lapse). My group which consisted of Bethany, Emily and Gin chose to do charcoal on a phone book taking inspiration from Meghana's 'Dog' animation.
We noticed that a lot of Meghana's had nature in them and natural scenes so we decided we would set our animation in a forest. A male figure would walk through the forest and then fly off once it was off the screen a bird would swoop back down. The contrast of the white and black on the phone book was very effective and helped show the bird better as it was flying.
We decide to work on the one page as Meghana would draw on top of other drawings and the rub out we thought we would do the same. Although the animation is short i feel we all contributed equally and split all the work so everyone could to different parts to the animation. I think the music we used worked well with the animation and is similar to what Meghana, which is what we wanted.
Overall i think this weeks animation is good but compared to my other animations it is not quite as good as them. I do not think it is because of team but because her style was hard to grasp and is very different to what i would do.
